Year 12s return to HDSFC

Year 12s return to HDSFC
August 31, 2020 Belinda Gosling

Dear parents, carers and sixth form students,

Please read the letter below from the Headteacher and myself for further information on your Year 12’s return to college.

In response to the recent Parent survey, we are expecting all students whose parent/carer answered 1 and 2’s in response to the return to college questions to attend as outlined on the attached timetable in this letter.

All students on the KLIC course are not required to attend due to the final assessments now complete for the Employability course. Sixth form tutors will still be in contact with all students as we support them in their next steps for their future careers and training.

All other Year 12 students have a bespoke programme outlined on the attached document.

Please can I remind you that we are unable to let parents or other visitors come into college at the present time. Where you wish to contact the college you must do so by phone or email to admin@hdhs.school or 01255 245460. We have to minimise direct face to face contact at this time.

We will of course be reviewing all guidance and if we can safely admit further students we will endeavour to do so. Also, should the situation suddenly deteriorate we may have to close the college with immediate effect.

A full risk assessment will be posted on our website for you to access.

Please do not have any hesitation in contacting the college if you have questions or concerns that you wish to discuss or if you have changed your mind on your child returning. We will do our best to get back to you as quickly as possible.

Kind Regards,
Mrs S J Parker

Head of Sixth Form

Harwich and Dovercourt High School
