Harwich and Dovercourt High School is able to support trainee teachers in almost all subject areas and successful completion of initial teacher training will lead to the award of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). We have experienced mentors and trainers across all faculty areas and as a school we believe strongly that this is a learning environment for all its stakeholders. As such we welcome trainee teachers and support them throughout their time on the staff.
For non-salaried and salaried trainees, the PGCE qualification, which includes 60 Masters level credits, is also awarded on completion. Courses leading to QTS only are also available.
