Homework Club

All year groups have their own homework club in their year group bubble, Monday to Thursday each week, where Chromebooks are available for completion of homework. Details for each year group are as follows:

For Year 11s this will take the form of their Achievement Hub in C4 organised by the Year 11 Team.

Homework Schedule

Years 7 & 8

Year 7

A minimum of one GAIN task per subject per half term. There are opportunities for independent GAINS for students with an ATL of a 4.

Students must complete whole school literacy (Bedrock) and Numeracy (Sparx) weekly tasks.

Year 8

Up to 1 hour per week in English, Maths, Science, French, History, Geography.

In all other subjects homework may be set up as appropriate (up to 1 hour per fortnight per subject).

Years 9, 10, 11

Up to 1.5 hours per week in English, Maths and Science.

Up to 1 hour per week in all other subjects.

This amounts to approximately 1.5 – 2 hours per evening.

Key Stage 5

At least 3 hours per subject weekly.

Sparx Maths

All Maths homework is set and completed on Sparx Maths

All Sparx homework is set on a Friday each week at 8am and is due the following Friday at 8 am.
