On Friday 21st April Miss Cross, Miss Munro, Mr Gillespie and Mr Gallagher took 24 year 11 boys to Brighton on an adventure/revision weekend. The boys were put through their paces in the classroom with tailored revision in Maths, English and Science all geared towards their imminent GCSEs and raising attainment in these subjects. They were then put through their paces by the PGL team – in amongst the revision sessions students were given the opportunity to try canoeing, abseiling, zip wire and rifle shooting, all of which the boys really enjoyed. They showed fantastic team work skills and resilience even when they were petrified. Evening activities were also a great hit with robot wars and capturing the flag.
All students commented on how the revision sessions have supported them in the run up to this very important time.
