Harwich u14 1- 3 Bury
On Sunday Harwich under 14’s travelled to Ipswich for their next games in the Suffolk Youth League. They started with a game against a very strong Bury side. Harwich welcome Isabella Bartley to the team, with Faith Eagle being absent from the game. Miah Reynolds proved her committment turning out still not feeling 100% from a sickness bug. From the start of the game she was pressured by Bury. Katherine Hammond, Abbie Boom and Izzy worked tirelessly in midfield supported by Jennifer Morgan and Lucy Henshall in defence. Both girls looking more at home in these positions. Skipper Gabrielle Williams kept spirits high in the team, their efforts paid off when Saskia Henderson slipped the ball in the goal with seconds remaining.

Harwich u14 1 – 1 Colchester
Harwich showed how much potential they have as a team together. The second game there was a massive improvement from everyone. Lucy was strong on her hit outs, Izzy, Katherine and Abby man marked when essential. The girls had a few chances to put their drills of short corners in o practise. These routines were controlled by Gabrielle, the girls continue to grow with experience. Harwich were very unlucky to conced a goal on the break, they throughly deserved a win. Constant pressure allowed Lucy to create an opportunity for Saskia to pick up her second goal of the day and equalise. The girls are showing that the more Hockey they experience the more confident they become and we look forward to seeing more results. This was a great game to watch and we give thanks to family and friends who travelled with the girls. The girls next game is away on the 11th December.
