Students had to come up with ideas and improve on them for potentially changing the world or having a benefit to humanity. It had to be original and solve an existing problem or add an invention to the world
These ideas were improved individually and in groups. At the end of the day 40 students in 14 teams went through to the final next week.
They will be judged in house by the Heads and the top 3 winning teams will represent the school. The 2 winning teams from each class will have another day next week to make a model of their idea and prepare the presentation.
