Dear Parent/carer,

Year 8 trip to Germany

We have arranged for our current year 8 students to have an unforgettable opportunity to visit Germany in July 2023 in the picturesque Eifel region. Whilst in Germany we will visit one of the country’s top theme parks ‘Phantasialand,’ visit the historical town of Trier for some shopping, with a 1 hour boat trip on the Moselle river and spend time riding the ‘Sommerrodelbahn’ (summer toboggan). This is an amazing opportunity for students to gain independence and confidence as well as develop social skills and widen their cultural capital.

Duration: 4 days and 3 nights

Cost: £460

As with all school trips a good behaviour record is essential. We reserve the right to remove students if they fail to meet our expectations in school. Any student who is involved in any act of violence in school or repeated refusal to cooperate or defiance will lose their place on the trip. Your child will also be required to evidence good behaviour in the lead up to the trip.

Please note, that all trip attendees will require their own Passport for travel which must be valid for at least 3 months after the date of departure. Students must also carry a valid GHIC card which can be applied for from the NHS website free of charge. For further information, please visit:
