We send our heartfelt condolences to the Royal family on the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and pay tribute to her many years of dedicated and inspirational service. We will be reflecting on her life in assemblies this week
The State Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II will take place at 11am on Monday 19 September at Westminster Abbey. I am writing to confirm that the school will be closed on the date of the State Funeral, Monday 19 September, which has been designated as a bank holiday.
The loss of the late Queen Elizabeth II will affect many people in different ways and we are particularly aware that children who may have experienced bereavement in their families could also be impacted. Please therefore find a link to the Child Bereavement UK website which may prove helpful.
Please also note that the school will close early at 2.15pm on 22nd September 2022 to allow staff time to prepare for our Year 5 and 6 Open Evening.
