Restoration
June 20, 2017 hdhsadmin

On Thursday 12 members of the Windsor SMILE team accompanied by Mr Day, Mrs Seaman and Mr Underhill worked alongside members of the local council and Cheryl Thompson of the Harwich Society to restore some of the old, flower beds along the promenade hills that have been neglected for years. In very hot temperatures the students worked incredibly hard. They worked well as a team with everyone “pulling their weight” and not one moan or groan was heard. The students now have the pride in knowing that every time they walk along this part of the promenade they can see the work they have done for others to enjoy. A local couple were so impressed of their efforts that as we left the area with the job finished they stood and applauded the students efforts. If you want to see the result of the students efforts the beds are situated directly below the shelter which is nearest to Orwell Terrace
