Year 11 Careers Advice

Year 11 Careers Advice
October 10, 2016 hdhsadmin
All young people have to be in education or training until they are 18 and over the next few weeks we have made arrangements for Year 11 students to receive a range of information so that they can made informed decisions for the future. On Wednesday all Year 11 students will be attending the Colchester Careers Convention.
On Friday it is the Year 11 Conference where the students will have opportunity to gain information about apprenticeships, Colchester Institute and Otley College courses and of course, information about our own Sixth Form as well as an exciting motivational talk from an organisation that specialises in this field.
All Further Education providers have Advice Sessions where students can go and find out more about the College and the courses they run – they are as follows:

Most Colleges like applications in prior to Christmas so that they can get the interview process in motion. We also have to submit a form to Essex County Council letting them know our Year 11 students initial thoughts about Intended Destinations by Christmas. However, students do not have to make a firm commitment to any course until they have received their GCSE results.
Attached is a letter from Mrs Anne Myers, Careers Co-ordinator with all details and contact email should you require any further information.  Careers-information-letter.pdf (181 downloads)
