The Year 8 HDHS Rugby team took on CCHS in the second round of Coastal League. Instead of a normal match report this is going to be more of a factual list. HDHS were absolutely superb and CCHS were fairly inexperienced. The score ended up CCHS 5-100 HDHS.
There were plenty of new scorers for the team; Morgan Campbell 2, Cameron Brunsden 3, Robert Kolsva 4, Joe Henderson 1, Lex Walls 1, Harley Cipov 1, Liam Turner 1, Jamie Brunning 1. These were combined with 1 for Ioan Woodward and Harrison Hunt respectfully and Alex Ashworth’s brace. CCHS were also short of a couple of players so credit to some of the boys for stepping up and in for CCHS. HDHS did play really well and used the ball extremely well. Overall the game was a great team exercise, confidence builder and motivator for the huge game that awaits next week. Man of the match for his 4 tries, Robert Kolsva.
