It was another fantastic Year 11 English exam day at Weston Homes in what has now become an annual event. A select number of students from each NEEEP school attended the event which had a clear focus on supporting students to achieve an A in the English Language exam. The students benefited from collaborating with students from different schools and receiving the expertise of the English teachers from across the different schools. The students were very positive about the day…. Some of the comments from students were:
“Well organised day; everyone was polite and made you believe that teachers wanted to help.”
“We did English all day. Yay!!!”
“The booklet will help with revision.”
“Good tips. Nice teachers.”
“It was a very focused day.”
“How to approach the questions was explained well.”
“I feel as if I can do better in an exam now.”
“I now feel more confident.”
Year 11 Student, Taylor-Leigh Wigham of Harwich and Dovercourt High School, said of the Weston Homes day, “It was a helpful day with really useful tips for each exam question. It was nice working with other schools in a great location.”
Well done to the students who worked hard all day and represented their schools excellently. Thank you also to the teachers involved who planned and delivered highly effective sessions.
