Year 7’s played their third game with the league against Clacton Coastal Academy. The teams impressive start to the season was eagerly anticipated by a big crowd. Harwich started very strongly scoring 3 tries very quickly thanks to a double from man of the match Alex Ashworth and Harry Pitham. These tries were curtesy of good work from Joe Sewell and Matt Morgan. Reagan Constable then added 2 more tries before half time nicely weaving in and out avoiding tackles from full bac…k.
In the second half Clacton came out strongly making Liam Atkins, Jenson Adams and Joe Henderson put in some very good defensive tackles. From this we built attacks scoring 2 more tries through Reagan Constable and Ioan Woodward. The result ended up 7-0 meaning victory at Manningtree next week will provide Harwich with the league title.
The team are still unbeaten with only 1 try against. This is a remarkable achievement considering the teams we are playing are training twice a week.
