The Year 7 boys had their first game of secondary school football against Stanway school in the English Schools FA cup. The boys started the game strongly and were unlucky not to take the lead. Stanway had a good 5 minute spell where they scored two goals. If it wasn’t for heroic goalkeeping from Matt Morgan and excellent defending from man of the match Kyle Elder the score could have been more. The second half the boys rallied with attempts from Harvey Bennett, Tom Newland and Charlie Wotten narrowly missing. Stanway again came strong and scored 3 more goals. Good effort from all of the players and we look forward to the coming league season.
