We require a teaching assistant to be responsible for providing support both academic and welfare to students with individual educational needs. You will be expected to work with individuals and small groups of students both in and out of the classroom. As a member of a team of assistants you will need to be flexible, adaptable and abide by a strict code of confidentiality.
You will be attached to the Design, Technology and IT Department and therefore a keen interest in these areas are desirable. Formal qualifications in these areas will aid the application. Previous experience working with young people will be useful but not essential. Training will be an integral part of this position.
