Members of staff from the Harwich and Dovercourt High School were delighted to be able to run a five day residential trip to Howtown in the Lake District as part of a course run by the Outward Bound Trust Educational Experience.
The course was led by qualified instructors so students were able to take part in a range of activities including Gorge walking, high rope, canoeing, raft building and an overnight camping expedition on the mountains of the Lake District.
The course also aims to help raise aspirations for the future partially achieved through increasing self-confidence through physical and mental challenges. Also to develop respect and responsibility for themselves and others in the unique and natural environment.
