On Tuesday 3rd March students from Harwich and Dovercourt Sixth Form visited one of the world’s most beautiful and famous locations: Florence, the capital city of the Italian region of Tuscany.
Whilst in Florence students visited the Palazzo Vecchio (Old Palace), the Museum of History of Science and the beautiful area around the famous Ponte Vecchio for lunch and shopping.
They also visited the Costume Gallery at the Palazzo Pitti and the magnificent Gardens of Boboli, followed by the Archaeological Museum, the Medici Chapels at San Lorenzo Basilica, the Piazza del Duomo, and Florence Cathedral including St John’s Baptistery and lastly Bargello Museum before travelling home.
