The Science department will be taking a group of Year 10 students to visit Sizewell B nuclear power station on 6th June.
This will be a great opportunity to learn first-hand about nuclear power. Sizewell B supplies approximately 2.5 million homes with electricity and our tour will allow us to see how the plant operates on a day to day basis and at the same time learn of the challenges this involves.
Sizewell B not only engages with the local community and schools having a good relationship with them but also has an active apprenticeship programme to recruit and train new staff.
We are looking forward to wearing the flattering clothing!
