Dear Year 11 Parent/Carer,
Thank you for your support during this challenging term of controlled assessments and Centre Assessed Grades (CAGs). We have been moderating grades and ensuring that we have the evidence that we need for students to achieve the grades they deserve. There are a number of students who will need to be in school during the week beginning 7th June – we will be contacting those students separately with the exact days that they are needed on site. If your child is contacted, it will be via the school email system or we may phone on Monday 7th June. Any student in school during the week beginning 7th June will not need to wear school uniform. If your child is not needed on site it is because we have moderated their CAGs and we have everything in place for them, therefore they do not need to be in school. We will be setting reading and careers guidance for their next steps on Google Classroom for them to continue to access until 25th June.
I will be in contact again very soon with details of the exam results day, I am awaiting the announcements based around the unlocking of restrictions due to happen on 21st June before deciding exactly how the exam results day will take place, whether on site or being emailed to students.
Please accept my genuine thanks for coping with the difficult circumstances we have found ourselves in, the changing guidance and resulting last minute adaptations to the school days and term have not been easy for anyone, but the students have responded very well to the constant uncertainty and I am very proud of them.
