Year 11 students are celebrating 56% 5 A*-C including English and Maths. Lynne Gettings, Acting Headteacher, said:
“We are delighted with the many successes of our Year 11 students and congratulate them with pride. We have demonstrated progress across the ability range with an increase in A*/A in English, Geography and History, which breaks previous records. We are particularly proud that our GCSE results have held strong and stable against the national predictions of volatile results and shocks following significant changes to the exam system over the last 12 months.”
A Level and BTEC Results
Year 13 A Level and Btec results have improved yet again. The overall pass rate is 100%. In addition 97% of Sixth Form students achieved qualifications in 4 or more subjects.
Acting Headteacher Lynne Gettings said “Many congratulations to our Year 13 students. Staff are very proud of our students’ achievements. We are delighted that half of all grades are A*/A/B equivalent. Subjects that performed particularly well were IT, Media and Design. A real cause for celebration is the fact that every student who applied for a University place has secured the course of their choice. I wish all our students every success in their careers.”
The following students did notably well achieving at least 4 A Levels including a mixture of A Level top grades and Btec distinctions:
Daniel Bedingfield, Blerina Ferati, Craig Currey, Tia Gardiner and Farhaanah Begum.
